Abstract
Disaster management systems fulfills a vital task when a disaster such as earthquake, flood etc. occurs especially. The impacts of disasters can be reduced by employing effective disaster management systems equipped with Internet of Things (IoT) technologies. In case a disaster, employing IoT technologies enables a number of advantages. First, disaster management system have correct and fast knowledge about effective of disaster and its region. Second, it provides effective management and scheduling of resources such as rescue personals, equipment, vehicles, etc. This paper presents a disaster management system based on the internet of things solutions for smart cities. The developed system consists of two main parts. The first part is an IoT-unit that is an embedded system including sensors and communication units enables to access information about damage status of its deployed building. The second one is IoT-analysis platform which carries out recording, monitoring and analyzing collected data from disaster area by IoT technologies such as cellular networks, Wi-Fi connections data and IoT-unit.
