YALOVA ZEMİNLERİNİN TEMATİK RİSK HARİTASI

Within the scope of this study, the ground features of Yalova province were revealed with the help of Geographic Information Systems (GIS). The zones related to the central district of Yalova province were selected as the soil data collection area of the region. The data were obtained from various soil survey companies operating in Yalova province. The studies conducted in the drilling wells belonging to the parcels studied were examined from the soil survey reports that the companies had prepared. The values that reflect the physical and mechanical properties of the soils such as liquid limit, plastic limit and standard penetration values obtained in the works are processed in the database. The database is associated with a geographical system based program, and thematical maps that reflect the characteristics of the soils of Yalova province have been prepared.
