IMPORTANCE OF FILITRELATION IN A FIBER REINFORCED COMPOSITE BEAM EXPERIMENT UNDER IMPACT
Zeynep Yaman, Elif Aðcakoca
Abstract
Although impact load is a rare type of load in constructions, structures may be exposed to these loads during their service life. Therefore, in the first projecting part of the construction, it is necessary to design the elements by providing safety against impact loads. Today, various composite elements are used to provide resistance to impact loads on structural elements. Today, technological developments in the field of materials are also evident in the construction sector. In addition to the composite elements, the use of fiber material in the construction industry has made the structures more durable. The fiber material used in the composite elements has increased the tensile strength of the element, making it more secure by increasing the strength in the military structures and structures in the nuclear power plants. In particular, the fiber material used in composite elements is widely used in the construction industry due to the impact resistance and tensile strength it gives to concrete. The acceleration, velocity and displacement values obtained under impact loads on the structural members may not be clear due to various reasons. It is absolutely necessary to apply filters to the experimental results processed by computer programs. In this study, steel box profile filled with fiber reinforced concrete is evaluated for the importance of filtering under impact load.
