Ali Demir, Didem Bütün, Emre Ercan
Abstract
Various rapid screening approaches have been developed to determine the seismic safety of constructions with minimum time and cost. In this study, four evaluation methods have been used to determine damage states of existing reinforced concrete structures. Rapid screening approaches such as P25 Scoring and Canadian Seismic Research Approaches and detailed evaluation methods such as Turkish Seismic Code-2007 and Basis of Assessment of Seismic Vulnerability for Existing Buildings policy have been used in scope of the paper. The aim of this study is to investigate reliability of rapid screening approaches which are used to determine damage states of existing reinforced concrete structures. 24 reinforced concrete structures which represents properties of existing structures in Manisa have been analyzed by above evaluation methods. Finally, damage states of existing structures have been determined and results have been compared with each other.
